Story
We will be taking on The AHOY Centre's #Rowvember Challenge by walking 32 miles along the canals from East London back to our hometown in Hertfordshire.
This route will take us along the Regents Canal, Paddington Arm, and finally onto the Grand Union. We're aiming to complete the walk in under 12 hours (a few of those being in the dark) and we would be so grateful if you were able to support us!
AHOY is a brilliant charity who have been supporting their community since 2003, helping thousands of disadvantaged youth and disabled adults achieve recognised qualifications whilst teaching valuable transferable skills through a medium of sailing, rowing and water-based activities.
As a fundraiser for this charity (Jade) I can tell you that we've been hit hard by the impact of COVID and the cancellation of sporting events has meant that we are losing out on an estimated £400,000 this year. At a time where young people and disabled adults are feeling alone, worried about their futures and are experiencing a reduced quality of life - it is so important that the charity is able to continue the programmes and give hope and opportunities to those most vulnerable.
So please if you can, help us turn our miles into pounds this November by supporting us on our challenge, your donations will provide vital income for AHOY's community.
We are so thankful for your support xxx
