My names Jade Williamson and I have decided to take on the challenge of a lifetime by doing the "Tandem Skydive", this is a 10,000 FT Freefall Parachute Jump! I have requested to do my jump on Saturday 15th August and hopefully weather permitting I will be able to do this.

I decided to take on this challenge and raise money for CLAN because this is a charity that is very close to my heart. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2013 and although his progress has always been positive and treatment he chose to have has helped him, I understand that not all families are as fortunate as we are. The idea of not having my dad in my life was something that never once crossed my mind and I think I was quite naïve to the fact that cancer can affect anyone even those closest to you.

Everyone knows someone that has been affected by cancer, it could be a family member, a friend, colleague or neighbour. I want to raise as much money as possible to help raise more awareness for all types of cancer, for more research into other treatments for cancer and to ensure that CLAN has enough money to keep up their amazing work that they do to support people that are fighting their own battle with cancer.
