We support Bristol Children's Hospital to save lives & support sick children
Story
Hello everyone
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
This is my first event, with hope to progress to many more, including that of a half marathon.
As many of you are probably aware, my family and I had the misfortune of losing a very cheeky chappy at an age no-one can bare to comprehend. My brother Jack died on the 1st September 2003 (almost 11 years ago) at the very tiny age of 7. This hospital is where he lost his battle with life, and as his machines were turned off, we all sat in silence mourning over a boy who's life hadn't even began. My hearts go out to the doctors and nurses, who day in day out, have to approach parents of a sick child and tell them that there is no hope, with whom probably have children themselves. These doctors and nurses have got to be some of the strongest and most courageous people I know.
The hospital is designed to make children feel like they are in a place of peace, and more importantly, to make them smile through their darkest days. Although Jack was only here for a very short while, I had the chance to look around and foresee this remarkable establishment where a splash of colourful paint really can make a difference to child who is suffering. Not to mention the specialist equipment they have, which is phenomenal and has saved so many lives. They rely on the donations of the public in order to continue producing this life saving equipment.

The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is a world-class centre of excellence – one of just seven children’s hospitals in the UK equipped and able to offer specialist treatment and lifesaving care to over 100,000 sick and critically ill babies and children every year.
Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal was established in 1995 and has since raised over £27 million to support a wide range of life-saving medical equipment, family accommodation, and patient comforts, along with a programme of arts, music, education and play facilities in the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

I would like you all to join me in donating money to this amazing charity in the hope to provide constant funding for them to continue with their remarkable pioneering work. Any single little penny counts and it would really mean the world to me, and other families who have, or who are going through similar situations. So pleaseeeee donate and let more doctors tell parents/brothers/sisters and grandparents that everything will be ok!!!
I know I'm only running 5k for now, but I'm going to keep this page going for as long as possible!
Thank you so much for all your love and support....
Happy Donating :) xxxxxxxx
