Hello! Firstly thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Through ICS I will be raising money for an amazing youth organisation called Y Care International.

ICS is a government funded development programme that offers 18 to 25-year-olds from all backgrounds a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fight poverty in overseas communities. Y Care International is a charity that works with young people to stay healthy and safe, get skills for work, prepare for emergencies and improve justice systems.

In January 2015 I will be travelling with a team to Senegal, West Africa. Volunteers help communities who have been badly affected by war, by helping in projects which offer training to young people in skills that will help them earn a living, and provide health information.

This is not a holiday and the conditions will be very basic, everything from my training to flights, to living conditions is all paid for by the government, the only thing they ask me to do is fundraise money. This money is not for my trip it all goes to ICS’s charity fund which enables more young people to participate and make a difference, as well as going towards the hard work that Y Care International does to improve the lives of young people and their communities all over the world.
