Story
My name is Jade McIntyre and next year I am going to be
taking part in an exciting event to raise money for Marie Curie. Myself and a fantastic group of other volunteers are going to be cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia on the 11th of October 2023 starting off in the colourful city of Ho Chi Minh in Southern Vietnam cycling 30-90km a day to reach the historic Angkor Wat in Cambodia over 8 days. The Challenge, as always, will be very tough, in temperatures of over 30 degrees! This will require many hours of training, over several
months, in order to achieve the level of fitness required to complete the ride. We understand that many of us are involved with our own charities, but would ask that on this occasion, if you can, please support us, no matter how small a donation. In addition to our own JustGiving sites, we are holding various fund-raising events throughout the next year.
I am raising money for Marie Curie to help hospice staff and
nurses support families and people living with terminal illness and to make sure that everyone has the best end of life care. Last year Marie Curie services helped more than 69,000 people living with a terminal illness and without the support of donations and fundraising Marie Curie would not be able to provide vital care and support to the people who need it. Everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left. The money raised by Marie Curie continues to support families and carers,
provide ongoing research and promotes quality of life for all patients. All of Marie Curie nursing is provided free of charge, and just £20 pays for an hour of nursing. Every pound that you give,
will go directly to Marie Curie.
Thankyou again for supporting us,
Jade
