I set this page up 2 years ago, to raise money....but since then I had problems with my hip, then it got cancelled due to covid. Today I ran the 10K with a personal best of 54 minutes, so here we are again and this was my story.

I've been running for fitness for some time now and finally plucked up the courage to enter my first running event. I've chosen to support Tommy's baby charity because it's a charity close to mine and Lees heart. We lost our first baby through an ectopic pregnancy in 2013, I was very lucky and obviously went on to have my two babies, but some people who have ectopic pregnancies aren't so lucky. You ask all the questions, why, how, what did I do wrong. And none of these are ever answered and most of the time you're too ashamed to ever talk about loosing a baby in any way. I believe now's the time to break that stigma. I felt alone and lonely, and refused to even tell anybody about my baby at the time, when really I was 1 in 4. I'm running for all those mummy's and daddy's who feel alone, after and during, such a difficult time.
