Participants: Jacqui Moore, Alison Whitely, Wayne Fulford, Julie Osborne

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. The Velo Challenge will take our team, riding in relay, 500 miles in 3 days from the North of France to Alsace in the East, near the border with Germany, going over the Vosges Mountains.

This will be a huge challenge but one which we will embrace and we hope to raise our fundraising target with your help.

25% of the money raised will go to Cancer Research UK, 25% to Wessex Heartbeat and 50% to Friends of Forest Holme.

Wessex Heartbeat is one of the regions major charities and supports the work of the Wessex Cardiac Centre in Southampton. Since 1992 supporters have enabled Wessex Heartbeat to raise over GBP11m which has been used to provide the best possible care for more than 20,000 patients treated each year.

Friends of Forest Holme is an independent charity dedicated to raising funds for Forest Holme hospice and specialist palliative care unit in Poole. Whilst there is a strong NHS commitment to run the unit, additional funding is required to enhance the facilities provided for patients and families.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Challenge Adventure Charities gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Please could you sponsor us for this challenge.
