Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

'Bailiwick Bubble Blistering Bum Challenge' - Tour the Shores.

I am joining a group of like minded adventurers marooned in the Bailiwick Bubble ... ditching the cap and goggles and picking up my paddle to take on an epic kayak challenge.

Raising funds for three worthy charities...Smile For Georgie Foundation who will be sharing the funds with Guernsey Mind & Les Bourgs Hospice.

We aim to circumnavigate the Five Bailiwick Bubble Islands. The challenge starts with Lihou Island on Sunday 14th June.

The adventure continues taking on a new Island each month throughout the Summer with a plan to kayak Herm in July;  Sark in August; Alderney in September and Guernsey as we head into Autumn.

This will be a fun team staycation escape and I look forward to meeting new friends; spotting some wildlife and enjoying the wonderful Bailiwick scenery from a watery perspective.

Massive thanks to Outdoor Guernsey for giving up a huge amount of time and resources to make this adventure possible.

Please donate whatever you can to the Blistering Bum challenge.

About the charity

Following the tragic road traffic accident in July of 2017 the family of Georgie Le Prevost wanted to do something positive and decided to raise money through a sponsored, tandem parachute jump with Jersey skydive. Annie and Jenny Le Prevost were overwhelmed with the immense public support and generosity of Guernsey people who made a vast number of donations to their Just Giving page. This generosity prompted the family to consider ways in which they could make a positive contribution to the Island in memory of Georgie and this is how the concept of the “Smile For Georgie Foundation” emerged. The Foundation was officially registered on the 31st January 2018, with the purpose of making a difference and bringing smiles to the people of Guernsey through small acts of kindness. Those who knew Georgie will appreciate the positive contribution she made to life and the smile she had for everyone. The Foundation intends to reflect her personality in all that is does and looks forward to receiving ongoing public support that will ensure its success
