Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I first got introduced to Maggie's in 2015 by my boss at Cameron
House, when my Mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer.
He told me about the centre and we would pop in for a coffee
and a chat after appointments.
Mum sadly lost her battle with cancer on Christmas Eve 2016. After a couple of difficult years coming to terms with her death, receiving grief counselling, changing jobs etc, I came across Maggie's again in 2018 when I joined the team at Crowne Plaza Glasgow.
I got to know the fabulous Lorraine and learn all about the work she does for this amazing cause and after a lovely day at Strictly come dancing in Feb 2020, where we consumed lots of fizz, Lorraine persuaded me it would be a great idea for me to sign up to Just Dance for Maggie's 2020!
2 and a half years later (that’s a long time when you’re my age) I am now realising that afternoons on the fizz can be very dangerous.. this is definitely not as easy as it looks on Strictly!
My Mum loved to dance, she loved to party and she would be loving every minute of this journey. She would most likely want to be doing it herself! So on November 19th I will be giving it my all for everyone who has lost a loved one, for those who are fighting cancer and for those that have rung that bell!!!
Hopefully we can make lots of money for a great cause while having a Fab-U-lous time.
Your generosity means the world to me. Thank you, Jacqueline x
