Going into my senior year of high school, I remember feeling eager to go to college but as a first generation college student, I was unsure on the steps I needed to take to get there. Luckily in the summer of 2014, I was accepted to be a part of Reality Changers’ Class of 2015.

Since that day, I knew I had found my support system; from assistance with researching different universities, to writing personal statements, and helping my father understand when he asked, “but why are you hearing back from more than one school, aren’t you only supposed to go to one?” 

Throughout my college career, I have had moments where I felt lost or defeated but I would continuously turn to the friendships and mentorships I cultivated through RC. RC has played an immense role in why this upcoming June of 2019, I will be graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology. 

For this reason, I am fundraising for RC in celebration of its 18^th year of impacting students who like myself, come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Join me in the changing of realities!
