I'm walking against suicide.
This October I'm taking on the Lost Hours Walk to deal with grief differently and defiantly, and to remember our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, partners and friends.
Here's why:
On average, 125 people take their own lives every week in the UK.
75% of people who take their lives are not known to mental health services or have not been in touch with them within the last year.
135 people are directly affected by every suicide.
Were coming together across the country to send a message that that's not ok. Were taking to the streets to walk against struggling in silence, against being alone, against living miserably.
Anyone can hit crisis point. CALMs free, anonymous and confidential helpline & webchat are there for anyone who needs support. Theyre open from 5pm-midnight every day. £8 is enough to fund a call that could save a life.
