Inspired by the amazing achievement of Captain Tom Moore, Jacob has decided that he would also like to raise money for the NHS as, in his words, "The NHS needs our support right now.  We are okay in isolation, but lots of people need help.  I can raise money for the NHS and get fit at the same time!"

Jacob's idea is to run 20 laps of our garden, three times a day for 20 days.  He put his plan into action and started running on Friday 17th April 2020, so his last running day will be on Wednesday 6th May 2020.

20 laps of our garden is approximately 0.5km, so Jacob will be running around 1.5km per day.  Video & photographic evidence will be available!

Most of us have, at some point, relied upon the NHS to care for ourselves or a loved one and we, as a family, are no exception.  We have nothing but admiration for all members of NHS staff, risking their health to go to work,  to care for patients and for their tireless efforts to keep the NHS running in the current situation we find ourselves in.  We are super proud of Jacob for even thinking up this idea, and amazed that he is taking it so seriously.

A final message from Jacob, aged 7: Everyone should be taking this isolation more seriously and should stay at a distance from people.
