Story
I'm taking on the Super 60 this World Autism Acceptance Week to help change attitudes, to transform lives and create a society that works for autistic people.
I love football and Birmingham City and although it’s hard sometimes, going to away games is one of my favourite things. So to raise money I am going to walk the perimeter of 6 different football stadiums in 6 days to raise money for this charity.
I was recently diagnosed with Autism and although I appear to be a happy, healthy and confident boy it takes me a lot to be that way. Sometimes how I look on the outside is not how I feel on the inside. I need compassion not criticism. I need people not to look at me like I should act differently, sometimes I know I should, but I can’t. I need friends to be patient as I don’t mean to try and take control. I need people to help me when things are scary, even if they’re not scary to you. I need people to be quiet and calm even when I’ve done something wrong. I need people to realise that Autism is life changing but, not life limiting; with your help people like me will excel, lead and achieve we just need to be understood. I want to raise money to support everyone in the world as Autism affects everyone not just those that have it. If everyone learns about Autism we will all have a better life.
