I am very lucky to be able to celebrate my barmitzvah in a few weeks time. As part of the preparations I wanted to undertake a challenge to raise money for a really important charity. Jami supports those living with mental illness and I want to help and do my bit.

My challenge will take place on Thursday 11th August 2022 in the dessert. Massada is a famous landmark in Jewish history where the last of the Jewish martyrs held out as the Roman army advanced. 

It is situated in the dessert close the Dead Sea and rise 1,000ft via steep trek. I will start the ascent at around 4.00am (when it will already be in excess of 30c and hope to arrive at the top in time for sunrise. Daily temperatures at the top this time of year are around 40c. It should be a hot and exciting climb.
