On the 20th September at 12.45 am we lost our unborn Son. He was born by C-section 16 hours later.
The heart-ache, pain and longing we have experienced since has been devastating. It is the hardest thing we have ever had to deal with and something we would never want anyone else to experience.
We loved our baby during the pregnancy but the love that flooded out when we first saw Jacob is hard to explain. That love will never stop.

We and medical professionals are unsure why this happened. Tommy's is researching stillbirth and infant death - it happens far too regularly - ten babies a day in the U.K. This subject is not something that is easy to talk about and so very rarely is and because of this little has been done to research causes of stillbirth. That needs to change.
There had been nothing wrong with our pregnancy until it all went horribly wrong with no warning in the middle of the night. Please help stop this happening to others and raise awareness.
