Story

On the 9th of September 2019 my friend Jacob (right) took his own life just 3 months shy of his 22nd birthday. I cannot begin to think what he must have been going through and how long he had been struggling with his mental health. He always seemed to be the most energetic person to be around in school, in the pub, and anywhere else. This has only made his death more shocking. He was an incredible mate and a very kind bloke who was always there for me or for anyone else that needed him.

His passing has left a huge hole in the lives of all of his friends and family. My deepest sympathies go, in particular, to his family and his life-long best-friend Harry at this difficult time.

I want to be able to help prevent anyone having to struggle through what Jacob dealt with, and what his loved-ones are currently fighting through. If you could please help sponsor me on this run to help raise money for CALM it would be greatly appreciated.

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Our goal is a life less miserable for you, your friends, your family and for all men. CALM provides:

- A free and anonymous helpline

- Bereavement support

- Campaigns tackling stereotypes of masculinity, suicide and male mental health. Help us save lives.
