Story
Most people don't know that our local library service is a charity, and they do far more than let people borrow books. Alongside generating £2m worth of social value each year, they support the local community by running services and campaigns for wellbeing, disabilities, environment, cost-of-living and host hundreds of social activities.
Suffolk Libraries saves our local NHS more than £250,000 every year through combating social isolation and improving wellbeing. They also host around 14,000 events, activities and experiences that are attended over 200,000 times every year.
We love this charity so much, we're going to be walking 25 miles in the Orwell Challenge, all in aid of maintaining the vital services that Suffolk Libraries that support some of our most vulnerable people in Suffolk.
We'd appreciate any donations to reach our goal and fund more social sessions, activities and safe spaces.
