Story

Being a teenager, who attended school and lived through the Covid-19 lockdown I saw the mental health of the entire world deteriorate rapidly, including many important people around me.

Mental health problems, will effect 1/4 of us at some point according to statistics. However many psychologist state that we all will at some point feel a major dip in our own mental health. It is clear to that this is an issue that effects us all. Which is why I believe it is such a an important cause to run for as it can affect every single one of us.

There is so much support out there for people in a time of crisis and yet due to lack of awareness and government funding it is often tragically unable to reach those who need it most. If thousands were able to receive the correct treatments for mental illness they would be relived of suffering and hardships that no one should have to go through. All funds raised will go directly to MIND in which they will work in increasing the outreach available to reach those in need and ensure no one needlessly suffers from something that is so common amongst us all.

It is clear that issue of mental health in my opinion is the issue of my generation. We don't fully understand it or know how to deal with it, but with the vital work of mind in leading education and providing mental health services such as support groups and therapy. The outlook of thousands can be improved.
