Story

Hi Folks,

back in 2008, I completed the Chicago Marathon to raise money for the House of Hope, a children's charity, located in Bethlehem on the Hebron Road, in the West Bank.

On 25th March 2011, the first ever Jerusalem Marathon is scheduled to take place and I have secured a place to run it and in doing so I would like to raise some more money to support the Children.

The House of Hope looks after blind, physically and mentally handicapped kids and opens its doors to all sectors of the local community. It also runs a small workshop for ex -pupils and blind adults making floor brushes.

You will know from the media that things continue to be challenging in the West Bank and particularily in the Bethlehem area, where its tough, especially for these children.

When I visited the House of Hope I was really moved by the caring and loving approach of the Staff who used very meagre resources to keep things going.

They continue to be a real "beacon of hope" in these troubled times and I would like to try and support them.

So please,  if you can -sponsor me even a small amount will go along way to help these kids.

Many thanks

Jack

Please Note: All my costs for the Jerusalem Marathon have been covered, so everything that you sponsor me for will go directly to the House of Hope. Echoes of Service, a UK Registered Charity will be collecting the funds on behalf of the House of Hope.
