We are three sisters who aim to raise at least £9600 sponsorship money for Maggies Cancer Caring Centres by taking part in a gruelling trek through the Ladakh region of India in September 2008.  In the far-flung reaches of Northern India, Ladakh  is one of the most remote and sparsely populated regions on earth.  Bordered by Tibet, it is often referred to as "the roof of the world" and has almost moon like terrain. ......... So us three space cadets will fit in well!

Progress update..............

First day back home after completing the trek and I think we are all glad it's over and we are home in one piece!! 

We all found it tougher than we expected it to be but we are very proud of ourselves and our group as everyone completed the trek and for a group of our size the guides told us it was the first time a whole group has completed the trek. So gold stars all round.

A huge thank you to Doctor Kate who helped us to complete the final high pass by keeping a slow but steady pace ...with small steps!!!  Thanks  to Ian our expedition leader, Doctor Simonella (for poo control!), Laura (the Maggie's rep) and the whole group because each individual played a part in making us the first successful team over the pass!

We didn't laugh in the face of the incline but we managed to conquer it.
