We train and provide assistance dogs to transform the lives of disabled adults

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi my name is Jackie Kennedy, in 2005 my life turned upside down when I was diagnosed with Cauda Equina syndrome and as a result became a wheelchair user. I had always been very active, this ended overnight. For the next few years I struggled to cope with my disability and slipped into a very deep depression, and attempted to take my life. In in 2013 I discovered Canine Partners little did I know my life was about to change forever.

In September 2015 I was matched with my Canine Partner KINGSTON. With Kingston by my side I have regained my Independence and my zest for life. My life has been completely transformed and every day is a new adventure with Kingston by my side.

Canine Partners receives NO Government funding the charity is reliant on the generosity of the Public to train Assistance dogs for Adults with a physical disability. I am getting involved in a number of challenges over the next 2 years including a 216 meter bungee jump in South Africa. I want another disabled person to share in the happiness that I've experienced with Kingston. It's my wish to raise enough money to sponsor a Gorgeous little Canine Partner puppy all the way through to Partnership with a physically Disabled adult and know that their life will be transformed forever.
