Story

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.  I'm fundraising for a great local cause, The Recovery Tree Charity.  Their work is very close to my heart.

Why am I fundraising?

We all have ups and downs with our mental health.  It's OK to not be OK, but it's not OK to stay that way!  One in four of us will experience a mental illness in our lifetime.  It's essential to reach out and access support if you can.  However, that support is not always easy to find.

The Recovery Tree Charity

Through its work at The Olive Tree Cafe and TWIGS Community Gardens (as well as other local partnerships), The Recovery Tree Charity provides much needed support for people coping with mental health difficulties, helping them to re-build their confidence, establish friendships and develop practical skills to re-enter the world of work.  Most of their income needs to be fundraised every year and it's an ongoing challenge meeting the costs of providing their much-needed services.
