Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I would kindly ask if you could support me and spare a penny or two and donate to a very special cause that is close to my heart.
I am doing the 100k your way challenge! I am going to run and cycle 100 kilometres in September. This will certainly be a challenge for me.
On the 4th September 2012, a date that I will never forget, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) at the age of 35. My world came crashing down round about me as it was a total shock. Staying strong and positive with the support from my family and friends helped me get through that difficult time in my life, when I was diagnosed.
Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological condition that affects the brain and spinal cord (the central nervous system).
More than 100,000 people in the UK have MS and unfortunately no one knows the exact cause and have not yet found a cure. MS affects everyone differently, for some it is characterised by periods of relapse and remission, while others it is a progressive pattern. For everyone it makes life very unpredictable.
Research is progressing fast into more and better treatments for everyone. Together we are strong enough to stop MS. This is why I have chosen to Fundraise again for the MS Society.
The coronavirus crisis is creating unique challenges for people living with MS. This means the MS Society needs fundraising now more than ever to support people like myself.
With the help of everyone donating, it means that the MS Society can continue to fund vital research, provide information, support and services to people affected by MS like myself. Hopefully one day we will find the cause or even better a cure.
