Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dementia is devastating.  Not only for the person affected, who is robbed of their identity and their memories, both future and past, but for their family and friends who see a loved one deteriorate before their eyes.

For 1 in 14 people over the age of 65, dementia is not just a possibility...it is reality.  This cruel disease may have already touched your life, whether it be a friend, close family member or a colleague at work.

I am running the Balmoral 5km to raise vital funds to support the University of Aberdeen's world-leading research in Dementia research, allowing their researchers to continue to understand the casues, develop new methods of early diagnosis and understand disease progression.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Any donations are greatly received.

With best wishes

Jackie
