Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This August Bank Holiday weekend I completed the 100km South Coast Challenge - that's almost two and a half marathons, non-stop, around the hilly south coast of England. It was a run/jog/walk event (maybe they should add "crawl" in there too...) and was described as a "sleep deprivation and endurance" challenge - for me, 24 hours, 25 minutes and 9 seconds of pain, starting during the day on the Saturday and finishing on Sunday, with no sleep and only short meal breaks. I'd only ever done one marathon distance before so doing almost two and a half back to back was extremely challenging...the hardest thing I have EVER done, but worth every second. Thank you so much for your support. My chosen charity is Headway, the brain injury association. In 2010 my beautiful sister Deborah died from a brain haemorrhage. Headway do incredible work to help survivors of such brain injuries - I did this challenge in memory of my sister. Anything you can give, however small, would be so very much appreciated.
