Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking part in the Manchester 100 mile bike ride on Sunday 4th September. I am doing it for 2 reasons:
Saturday 3rd of September will be the 6th anniversary of the death of my Mother from cancer. Anyone who has ever known a loved one die from cancer will know what a difficult disease it is for the individual and for those around them. Raisng money to support the Christie in Manchester, the largest Cancer centre in Europe, will help thousands of people negotiate the journey through diagnosis, treatment and ultimately recovery or death.
I am also taking part in the event as part of the 100/100 Glow team, organised by Glynis Francis to encourage 100 women from the Manchester area to take part in the Manchester 100 mile bike ride. Working for British Cycling and having lived in and around Manchester I wanted to participate in this show of female cycling solidarity.
