Story
Jackie was diagnosed with cancer over 15 years ago. Undeterred, she continued to battle this terrible disease not letting it define her, and she always remained the life and soul of the party.
Over the last few years Jackie raised well over £20,000 for multiple charities as part of the Rainbow Girls, a collection of close friends all of whom were affected by cancer and whose mission it was to give back to those who provided their treatment.
In September 2022 Jackie decided to end her chemotherapy and to live her final months and days with family and friends, treatment free.
As a family, we decided to care for her at home ensuring she was surrounded by family, her dogs, and her two beautiful grandchildren, Ava and Emma.
Jackie's wish was to spend her final days at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice and on Tuesday 15th November she was admitted to the In Patient Unit where she received outstanding care from all the staff that looked after her.
Jackie passed six days later peacefully, and in no pain, with her husband and soul mate, Stuart, by her side.
Rather than flowers, and to ensure other families received the same outstanding care, we kindly ask you make a donation to The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice via this page.
