Story
Thank you for taking time to visit Jackie & Kevin’s JustGiving
page.
Jackie and Kevin are taking Jackie’s MINI Cooper (car no. 52) on “The Italian Job”, in the autumn of 2019, to raise money for the "Chances for Children" charity “Buttle UK” who provide support for children in crisis.
The aim is to raise £1,500 per car (around 100 cars will be taking part) which will go directly to Buttle UK. Jackie & Kevin will be covering all the costs of the journey themselves: accommodation, food, fuel and driving permits etc, so all your donations will be going to Buttle UK directly.
“The Italian Job” is a charity who help raise money for good
causes, this year its Buttle UK. The challenge is to drive around 3000 miles to Rome in Italy, and back, via Nurburgring, Trento, Imola, Florence and Turin (where they drive on the test track on the roof of the famous Lingotto building, remember the scene from the film?) Oh and
there will be a few surprise driving tasks thrown in as well , just to make
life interesting !!! The finish line is in London at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.
There will be around 100 vehicles taking part in the challenge, mainly the original classic Mini’s a few modern MINI’s and a few other vehicles that also appeared in the first The Italian Job film.
This year will be a very special anniversary year; it’s the 60th Anniversary of the Classic Mini, the 50th Anniversary of “The Italian Job” film, the 30th Anniversary of the charity “The Italian Job” and the 60th Birthdays of Jackie and Kevin.
If you would like more details about the charities involved take a look at http://www.italianjob and https://www.buttleuk.org/news/the-2018-italian-job
Any monies you can donate will be greatly appreciated and will go to the very worthwhile charity Buttle UK, Jackie and Kevin would like to thank you in advance for your generosity.
Thank you
Jackie & Kevin xx
