Story
Jack's early sporting days were dominated by football, but at the age of 39 he jumped ship to test himself in marathon running and as a result ran the first London marathon in 1981. Thereafter he included several other London marathons together with Paris, Berlin, Dublin, Edinburgh and Glasgow etc etc. His piece de resistance was running the 630 mile south west coastal path, covering about 21 miles a day for a month in 2011. In addition the total height covered was the equivalent to Mount Everest. This marathon is likely to be his last. He is now 81, his first was at age 39, enough is enough!
