Story
Below is the blurb from the charity which talks about how many children are diagnosed with cancer, it's heartbreaking to read but I recommend you do. I knew one of these children, her name was Edie and she was my cousin. She was the most intelligent, kind, amazing little girl you could ever hope to meet, I am running this race to raise funds, awareness, and continue the incredible work that has already been done by Edie's Butterfly Appeal on behalf of CCLG. Its been a horrible year and times are tough, any donations are massively appreciated only if you can afford to. We must take care of our families and ourselves, thanks for reading.

Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group is a leading children's cancer charity and the UK and Ireland's professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer. Each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer. We bring together professionals to ensure all children receive the best possible treatment and care. We support young patients and their families with our award winning, expert information. We fund and support research into childhood cancers. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and young people. Only 16% of those diagnosed are still alive 10 years after diagnosis and many suffer physical and mental disability as a result. Ependymoma is the third most common form of all malignant brain tumours in children yet it still remains one of the least understood of all brain tumours.
