In April 2014, students from Leeds Metropolitain University are travelling to Cape Town, South Africa to coach youngsters in townships.
The program has been recognised by receiving the Queens Anniversary Award 2012 for world class innovation in education and AOC Beacon Award for innovation in education 2008. Over the past 9 years, numerous awards have been given to staff and students.
When in South Africa, along with the coaching in townships, we will also be helping paint primary schools in the deprived areas that we visit.
So the money raised will buy footballs, rugby balls (which are given to young South Africans in townships) and building materials (paint and brushes).
It costs £5 to buy a football, I hope you can help.
Any money raised will be a massive help!
