 On April the 16th of this year, I’m travelling half way across the world to Zambia which is in the southern part of Africa, east of Angola. The town I will be staying in for the duration of 3 months will be Choma. I’m a volunteer with the organisation called Global Xchange. This unique opportunity is open to 10 young people aged between 18 – 22 years old.

Because I’m going on such short notice it’s getting very busy, I’ve applied for my first passport and also undergoing various vaccinations and preparing for the trip. I think this will be a life changing experience! I want to help children that don’t have anything at all. This gives me a warm feeling when I’m doing something so worthwhile like this. I hope I will learn not to take so many things for granted, and want to change other people’s opinion on this to.
