Brighton Marathon 2018 · 15 April 2018 ·
I am running my first ever marathon in Brighton on April 15th 2018 shortly after the arrival of our first baby. The reason I am doing it and with, I might add the full backing of my wife Carly, is to run in memory of a very special little girl called Rosie. Carly was Rosie and her twin sister’s nanny for many years and remained close to both girls. In December last year Rosie was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer and admitted to hospital the same day. She spent the next 4 1/2 months in hospital but devastatingly the treatment didn’t work and she died in May this year at only 7 years old.
Before Rosie died with the help of an amazing charity, Taylor Made Dreams, she and her twin sister Charlotte wrote a bucket list of things they wanted to do together. Unfortunately Rosie was too unwell to achieve them all but where possible the charity brought her dreams to her at hospital helping her to realise many of them, and allowing her and her family some precious times together before she died.
I am asking for your sponsorship to help me raise money for Taylor Made Dreams to enable other children like Rosie with life-limiting illness to fulfil their wishlists.
Thank you in advance for your support it means a lot to myself and Carly.
