Story
At the start of last year I couldn't run half a mile let alone a half-marathon, but I made the decision to get my arse in gear , dust my trainers off and start running. Little did I know how much running would change my life, and I thought if it can change someones else's, then why not give it a go? So in October, I’m taking on the London Royal Parks Half Marathon for @RefugeeAction, who do vitally important and life-changing work. I’ll be running 13.1 gruelling miles to help refugees rebuild their lives here in the UK.
Refugees have been uprooted. They are ordinary people who’ve been forced to leave the homes they love because of war or conflict. Everyone should live in a country where they feel safe and welcome, and Refugee Action are working tirelessly to give these people the fresh start that they deserve.
I would love it if you could sponsor me in my quest to become the next Mo Farah. Consider it your good deed for the month! Every donation will give refugees hope for the future, as well as giving me the encouragement I need to keep running.
£10 could provide a family with essential supplies, such as nappies and food.
£25 could help train a Refugee Action volunteer, so that they can give support and advice for families with vulnerable children.
£50 could help a family find accommodation, preventing them from homelessness.
£100 could help pay for an interpreter to attend five advice sessions with a refugee, so that they can receive life-changing advice in a language that they understand.
Thank you so much in advance for any donation you can make!
Thanks
Jack
