Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’ve decided to take on an Olympic distance triathlon in order to raise some cash for the wonderful charity that is DASH, who are based in my hometown of Huddersfield. They work amazingly hard helping people seeking asylum and refugees in Kirklees and are making such a positive impact. We can help them to support with any donations we can get together!

I think it’s important to note that I’m not a particularly strong swimmer or runner… but I have done a fair bit of cycling. This is pretty far out of my comfort zone but I’m really looking forward to the personal challenge while also raising money for such a good cause.

For the uninitiated - an Olympic distance triathlon is as follows:

1500m Swim // 40km Bike // 10km run

Pretty mental. I’m definitely not fit yet, but I (hopefully) will be by the time race day comes around on the 21st of May. I’m not aiming to complete it in any particular time but to enjoy the process and get to the end in one (sweaty) piece.

Anything you can spare for donations would be incredible and I’ll be updating you on my training as I go along. I’m currently on week 5 of a 16 week plan and goodness… I’m tired.

Thanks in advance, big love
