Story
I am taking part in Ride London 2018 to raise money for MSSC (Sea Cadets)
The sea cadets is a massive part of my life and has been for almost 10 years, I joined the Sea Cadets in 2009 as a Royal Marines Cadet and haven't looked back since!
I’m taking part in Ride London 2018 which is a 100 mile ride through London and Surrey and it follows the 2012 Olympic cycle route!
I’m an active cyclist and feel this would be a great test for me physically and mentally but it is also helping a great cause
As an active staff member of Bedford Sea Cadets this challenge is perfect for me because I love teaching the cadets new skills and I get great satisfaction seeing them enjoy the activities we put on and it’s great to know they’ve learnt some new skills too! They teach me a few things from time to time haha
Thank you so much for any donations made it means a lot to me and the charity! And thank you for your time!
National youth charity Sea Cadets works with 14,000 young people aged between 10 and 18 in 400 communities across the country. Through a different kind of adventure, Sea Cadets – supported by 9,000 volunteers – helps teenagers to develop into resilient, confident young people who can launch well in today’s complex and overwhelming world. And thrive in it. We offer water-based and land-based adventure at a heavily-subsidised cost, opening up countless opportunities to all young people, regardless of their background. With us, young people can enjoy sailing, kayaking, rowing and power-boating, as well as life-changing offshore voyages on one of our five vessels, plus first-aid training, rock-climbing, five-a-side football, band practice, physical training, marine engineering – and much more. We offer nationally-recognised qualifications, too, helping young people later in life, whatever they want to do. www.sea-cadets.org
