International Service are an international development charity protecting and promoting the rights of the most marginalised people in Latin America, West Africa, and the Middle East. 

I first came across them in my second year at University and felt they stood out from the usual aid programmes as they focus on people's rights, and are very much focused on empowerment, teaching abilities, rather than just giving resources and creating a cycle of dependence.

They are an organisation that I hope to spend some time volunteering with after graduation, hoping that with them I can develop a few more skills to supplement my degree.
