Story
I will be running this year’s London marathon to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust which is a charity that is very important to me. in August 2017 a very close friend of mine was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Lottie was only 14 at the time and had just finished her first year of senior school. After 17 months, she finished chemotherapy and hopefully by 2027 Lottie will be given the all clear! Even with the huge challenges Lottie faces, she is one of the most cheerful and amazing people that I have the pleasure of knowing and am lucky enough to call a friend.
I’ve decided to run for Lottie and Teenage Cancer Trust as a way of showing my admiration to all those fighting the cancer battle. 1 in 2 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. Without funding, the world class services that provide life changing care and support, so young people don’t have to face cancer alone, would not be possible.
