Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page and support my fundraising efforts. I am raising money for Lupus UK (West Midlands Lupus Group WMLG).

Running the London Marathon has always been on my bucket list and I enjoy a big challenge. Having been to watch the London Marathon for years and seeing all of the amazing charity and fundraising efforts at the worlds biggest one-day fund raising event along with support from the great crowds has pushed me even harder to seek a charity place and become a fundraiser myself.

After years of failed efforts I was lucky enough to receive the chance in late January to run for LUPUS UK. Despite the lack of training time and our new baby Sienna, I couldn't let the opportunity pass.

Lupus is a complex an incurable illness of the immune system, it is often misdiagnosed or missed. I hope the money I am able to raise with the rest of the LUPUS UK / WMLG runners can help fund research in to finding a cure and raising awareness for this presently incurable and debilitating disease that effects so many.

I know its a tough time for many, but any donations you are able to make, big or small, will be a huge help to this charity.
