On the 10th of September my brother and I will be running the Great North Run in memory of our Mum who we lost in July 2013 to breast cancer. 

We are raising money for the Ruth Strauss Foundation. The charity ensures families have a support network available to help them navigate their way through terminal illness and help prepare the whole family for the death of a parent. 

Your donations will support their specialised training programme which helps nurses for when a parent receives a terminal diagnosis. It also helps in developing the first UK wide specialist helpline to offer pre-bereavement support for families.
