Story
My beautiful wife Suzie sadly passed away on 30th Dec 2017 after a short battle with cancer. We lost her within 3 short weeks of receiving her diagnosis and only 8 weeks after she started presenting symptoms.
Suzie had battled cancer 10 years prior to this and as a result she lost her left eye and had to go for regular scans every year, however the cancer was to return. The saddest thing was, Suzie and I had just celebrated her being 10 years cancer free only 2 weeks before she started having symptoms.
In the weeks which followed, we spent all hours looking after her and making sure she was able to be as comfortable as possible. This included co-coordinating the help from the hospital, GP, District Nurses and Treetops. Treetops were only able to provide some initial services, including complementary therapies, however I know they would have done so much more had they been able too.
Suzie chose Treetops before she died as she wanted any donations to go to a local charity. I have set this page up to enable people who were not at the funeral service to make donations online to support Treetops in all of the hard work they do supporting those with cancer and their families in our local community.
