On Sunday 28^th June 2015 I will be taking part in one of the Ironman Triathlon World Series Events in Austria. The event which will take place in the hills and mountains of southern Austria and will involve a 3.8km lake swim, a 181km cycle and followed by a full a marathon through the historic town of Klagenfurt. For the past four years I have used triathlon to raise money for charity, namely MNDA. This year I will be raising money for Sarcoma UK which is a charity which my partner and her family feel very passionately about. Sarcoma is a rare form of tissue cancer which is very rare and very aggressive. Any donation, however small, will help research cures for this unbelievably cruel disease and support those who are left in its wake. (http://sarcoma.org.uk/) 

On a lighter note, to make things a little bit interesting I am also proposing a sort of raffle. Those who sponsor me can predict my finish time (hh.mm.ss). Whoever picks the closest time, will win either a voucher (John Lewis) or some sort of mystery prize from Austria! To help those guessing the finish times, the professionals will do around 8 hours and the cut off time is 17 hours. Please can no one pick DNF as this may knock my confidence! I will not be disclosing my predicted finish time to anyone.
