Despite saying never again, Jack and Holly have entered the Wimbledon half marathon on the 31st of October. With the 2020 Hackney Half being a virtual affair in the end they felt it was only right that they complete an official half marathon.

Story

I'm taking part in the Hackney Half with the Rare Runners, raising money for Rare Charity.

Having spent a few days at the Satemwa Estate back in 2018 and meeting Alex, one of the Rare Scholars - it was a no-brainer when Daisy asked me to get involved... Despite never having been on a 'run' before.

A cup of tea at the end would be nice to restore my normality.

Here's an idea about how your donation could help...

  • £5: a month's quality medical cover for a scholar
  • £10: A school uniform
  • £25: funds a student through secondary school for one month

and if you're feeling really generous...

  • £1,500: average cost of one year at university, including tuition fees, meals and accommodation
