The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Hey guys, firstly cheers for visiting my JustGiving page.

In brief- I love my hair, I’ve been growing it for over two years (sometimes even washing it too!!...), but while searching for local salons to get a trim I considered my Mum’s advice from a month or so back (“Look at donating your hair if you’re taking a lot off!”).

So I found Little Princess Trust; a charity that provides real hair wigs for children suffering with hair loss.

I am unquestionably guilty of self-criticism. When I look in the mirror I see my flaws. I get frustrated with my inability to shift a few extra pounds, I consider the benefits of nose surgery, I use skin revitaliser religiously, I think about how to style my stubble to look fresher. I focus on all the things I think I could do to look better thus feel better. And what I realise is thinking these things does not, and will not, make me feel any better.

But what just might make me feel better, as with all humans, is the act of giving. If by shaving my hair I can provide someone else with even just a little inner glow of happiness then I want to do it.

I have set my goal amount with the price of real-hair wig making in mind (between £350-£500). I would be so, so appreciative of any donation from you good people to hit my £500 goal, even if your motivation is just to witness my quivering body during the cut which will take place on Saturday April 21st 2018 (and I will *try* to put on Facebook live).

That’s it! Thank-youuus 😘

Jack xoxo
