Story
In March of 2023, I will be taking part in a charity trek across Finland's arctic to raise funds for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
Essex and Herts Air Ambulance is a vital charity and without donations would not be able to continue the life-saving service they provide.
To put things into perspective a single mission for the air ambulance can cost upwards of £2200 and a single month running cost can be more than £750,000. Thus taking part in events such as these are vital in keeping the charity up and running.
The aim of this multi-day trek through Finlands' arctic is not only to raise money in support of the air ambulance but to also raise awareness of the life-saving work Essex and Hert's air ambulance do.
The trek will consist of snowshoeing across the arctic circle followed by a final day of cross-country skiing. During this, I will be exposing myself to the extremes of the arctic.
