Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
My name is Jack Bartle, and I am 16 years old.
I have now completed the marathon, and beat my projected time (after a full training plan) by 6 seconds with less than half of a training plan. I hope this proves to everyone that anything you set your mind to is possible. Tough times don't last, but tough people always do. You are not alone. The difficult times will come to end. Keep fighting!
Mental health is something very close to my heart and I know it is not talked about much, but it should be. Anyone going through a mental health struggle has the right to help, and everyone around them should help them as best they can. If you don't have access to help, reach out. Mind is a fantastic charity if you have no body else to go to. I want to raise as much money as possible for them, so they are able to continue giving their fantastic support.
2020 has been a struggle for everyone, and I am sure that everybody has faced a mental health struggle at some point in their life too. I am doing this for everyone who has been through the tough times, or is still battling those demons now. I decided to do this last week, reached out to Mind, and then started training. On New Year's Eve, I will be running 26.2 miles to raise money and awareness for mental health in general and in particular for this amazing charity.
Anything that you can give is hugely appreciated. If you can't donate, tell people about it. The more people who know the better. Thank you to everyone who is supporting me on this journey.
