This year will be my fifth year taking part in this event. This is a relatively small event which has been running for some time and is now in its 20th year since inception. Over this time they have raised £250,000.00 for Macmillan Cancer. I first took part as part of a get fitter campaign for myself after successfully shedding 5 1/2 stones. I knew Macmillan was a good charity as my Daughter had suffered from breast cancer and the Nurses were of great assistance during her battle and also the wider help received was greatly appreciated. My daughter has made a full recovery but unfortunately the war is still to be won and Macmillan will still be in the front line and needing our help by way of funding.
