Story
Well it was a frosty morning in Cheshire but even Jack Frost couldn't stop us Santas dashing around Oulton Park this morning. It felt a bit surreal running around a track with a lot of grown men, women and children dressed in santa suits but I can't thaink of a more worthy cause (before and after photos enclosed). Your kindness and good wishes kept me going, cannot thank you all enough xx
Some of you will know about the fabulous work that St Luke's Hospice does, but for those of you who don't........St Luke’s is where people from all over Mid and South Cheshire can find a safe refuge during a difficult journey. It's a small hospice with a big heart, offering high levels of specialist care within a gently supportive environment. They believe in caring for patients personally, whilst offering families and carers the help they need to fulfil their roles, or to come to terms with their loss.
I have recently started doing some voluntry work with St Lukes and decided to sign up for their Santa Dash, a 5km run that takes place at Oulton Park on 12th December. It costs St Luke’s over £6,200 a day to remain open and the majority of that money is found through fundraising and donations. So please donate what you can and if you're up for a laugh come and see me in my santa suit on the 12th :-)
