Story
Thank you to everyone who helped with the Christian Aid 75th Anniversary Challenge. I have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity in support, prayer, helping with publicity, teaching me about wildlife, showing me new walks, seeking treasure, offering friendship and especially in giving. I started out thinking this was something I was doing, but discovered with joy that this was something I was just part of. Extraordinarily we have raised over £7000 which will make a wonderful difference to lives threatened by the climate emergency and the Covid pandemic. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
And especial thanks to all the dogs
The climate crisis is leaving people hungry, homeless and heartbroken. People like Rose are struggling to survive without a reliable source of water. From drought to flooding, climate chaos robs people of control over their lives. I often feel hungry, Rose says. Because of climate change, I worry a lot about food. I pray to God that the rainfall will become normal like it used to be. In recent years, the drought has been so bad that its caused a hunger crisis. Crops wither and die. Rivers run dry. People struggle to survive. The coronavirus pandemic has only made this lack of water more critical for Rose. Without water for handwashing, it is a struggle to stay safe from the virus. Please support my fundraising and help to provide reliable water source, for people like Rose.Your gift will help support Christian Aid's vital work with some of the poorest communities in the world.Thank you!
This year is Christian Aid’s 75th Anniversary, but Covid restrictions are having a huge impact on their fundraising activities. I will be walking 75 miles during CAW to mark this anniversary. I will be taking several walks a day, of varying lengths and stopping to pray for climate justice. Let me know if you would like to walk or pray with me during Christian Aid Week.
