Story
In May 2020 Jordan’s Dad – Steven, did experience headaches which no one expected to be anything more than a migraine, dehydration, or too long expose in the sun. A few weeks later dad had been taken to the hospital after noticing that the balance isn’t there and he was starting to lose feeling in his left side. After a number of necessary tests and scans Steven had been diagnosed with a brain tumour… a few weeks after he went for a major brain operation to remove part of the tumour followed by radiotherapy and other necessary treatments.
From a strong physically working man within few weeks’ dad became disabled & not able to do daily tasks without support. Only few weeks! That’s all the time it took for the tumour to take over his brain…
Unfortunately in December 2020 Dad passed away, but his strength and determination stayed with us.
Having witnessed the struggle that Dad experienced and the difficult time that the whole family went through, we decided that every October we will do our best to raise awareness and hopefully raise some funds which could go towards diagnosing these cancers faster & getting the right treatment sooner to try & prevent such trauma for other people & their families. Therefore 100% money raised in October from raffle Tickets online and offline will be donated to The Brain Tumour Charity.
We believe that together we can do so much more than alone so we invited few local and small businesses to take part and all of them donated amazing prizes to be won!
on Monday 1st November we will will draw winners during our LIVE STREAM. Although Dad won't be with us physically like last year, he will be in our hearts.
One raffle ticket costs £5. After your donation ONLINE, please email us on contact@j-active.co.uk so we can confirm to you your ticket/s number/s.
Thank you so much for your support! <3
